Howdy Boogalooers! We are looking forward to once again presenting three days of New Orleans music, art, food THIS WEEKEND along the banks of historic Bayou St. John.
The Mid-City Bayou Boogaloo will charge an admission fee in 2019, the first time in the neighborhood festival’s 14-year history.
For 2019, fest-goers will pay $10 per day, or $20 for the three-day weekend. All wristbands (daily and weekend) will allow in and out access. Children under the age of 12 are free. Weekend wristbands are available in advance at the link below, and daily wristbands are available at the door (cash or credit!)
A radical increase in land use fees is the reason an admission charge will be implemented in 2019. We understand this information is coming at the last minute, we tried to fight it, but it was unavoidable.
Our board has made this decision in order to keep the Bayou Boogaloo viable for our musicians, artists and businesses that rely on our event and, most of all, for the hope that community festivals can remain part of the cultural landscape of New Orleans.
Again, thank you for being part of 2019 Mid-City Bayou Boogaloo!
