BAYOU CLASSIC BATTLE OF THE BANDS AND GREEK SHOW

Before Southern University takes on Grambling State in the Bayou Classic on Saturday, the annual Battle of the Bands and Greek show kicks off the weekend.

All bags are prohibited other than clear vinyl bags no larger than 12″ wide x 12″ height x 6″ deep, Gallon Size Ziploc Bags (Limit 1 of either), and Small Clutch Purses no larger than 4.5″ x 6.5″. Non-clear diaper bags are prohibited.

Don’t miss one of the most anticipated events of Bayou Classic weekend: The Greek Show presented by Be The Match and Battle of the Bands presented by U.S. Marine Corps!

The renowned Southern University Marching Band Human Jukebox 9 and the Grambling State University Marching Band will face off again in this year’s Battle of the Bands. Expect an extraordinary performance from two of the best marching bands in college football.

The two universities’ Greeks will also compete in the Greek Show, a high-energy step show buzzing with school pride. Get your Greek letters and school colors, and root for your side in the Mercedes-Benz Superdome!

BAYOU CLASSIC INVITATIONAL HIGH SCHOOL BATTLE OF THE BANDS

PRESENTED DURING THE ANNUAL BAYOU CLASSIC FAN FESTIVAL

The Bayou Classic Invitational High School Battle of the Bands will add tremendous excitement to the popular Bayou Classic Fan Fest. Scheduled from 11:15am to noon on Saturday, November 26, at Champions Square, this inaugural event will feature six of New Orleans’s top high school marching bands – St. Augustine, L.B. Laundry, Edna Karr, G.W. Carver, Abramson Sci Academy and McDonough 35, who will compete for an amazing array of music education prizes provided by the Ludwig, a Division of Conn Selmer, as well as trophies. Curtis Akeem, a Ludwig percussionist and social network influencer known for his Dolla Watson comedic character, will entertain as the celebrity MC.
