Only in the Nola you can take a lil evening walk to the neighborhood corner store, thats still open after it rained & flooded and get fed ya family, get broiled seafood a bottle of Ciroc, buy a meat special, a hot plate dinner, lunch and breakfast for 2 under $10, pay ya phone bill, get a white tshirt, cigarettes and the list goes on. Sometimes ya hv to go off Canal to get not only a deal, but Felicia will put her soul in any thing that comes out the back of the store. You won’t regret it & the men hanging on the corner will not rob you some may ask for a lil change but don’t worry you are safer than walking in the French Quarters for sure.
