Odd Birds celebrates one-year anniversary while offering an array of exciting industry events
NEW ORLEANS, Louisiana (July 22, 2023) – This week, thousands of drinks industry professionals from bartenders to distillers will descend upon The Big Easy for Tales of the Cocktail, the industry’s annual meeting place for exchanging new ideas, products, and techniques with hundreds of events and tastings. Odd Birds NOLA at Selina is excited to announce that at the same time it celebrates its one-year anniversary, it will also be hosting nearly a dozen events as part of this year’s Tales of the Cocktail. This includes:
Monday, July 24th 11am to 5pm ~ Patrón Perfectionists gives industry insiders the chance to meet three 2023 Patrón Perfectionists Global Finalists, including Logan Demmy from 11am to 1pm, Dash Tume from 1pm to 3pm, and Max Macauley from 3pm to 5pm. Monday, July 24th 9pm to 12am ~ Academia Patrón Presents: Mixología de México Selina will showcase Mexico’s rich beverage culture throughout the ages along with Mexican bartenders who are shaping its future. There is currently a waitlist for this event at http://www.bacardilgfevents.com.
Tuesday, July 25th at 11am ~ Seminar & Brunch detailing how to use high end sherry wines in cocktails presented by The House of Lustau at the 1862 Dry Bar at Odd Birds NOLA.
Tuesday, July 25th 5pm to 8pm ~ Guest Shift by Anthony Medina from Miami featuring Gin de Las Californias and The Community Spirit Vodka.
Tuesday, July 25th at 8pm ~ Sherry Cocktails by Lustau features specialty cocktails crafted with sherry from The House of Lustau at the 1862 Dry Bar at Odd Birds NOLA.

Thursday, July 27th 6pm to 8pm ~ Happy Hour with bartenders Genesis Cruz and Steven Ferreira from Bar Belly out of New York City making imaginative cocktails featuring Bosscal Mezcal.
Friday, July 28th 8pm to 11pm ~ “Tropical” Late Night Drinks with bartender Gelo Honrade of Café Salmagundi from New York City will be shaking up tropical themed cocktails featuring Bosscal Mezcal and Coconut Cartel rum. RSVP to emmanuel@bosscalmezcal.com.
